Lacey is from Colorado and Ryan is from Southern Maryland. What brought these two kind souls together? The College of Southern Maryland and family. Lacey relocated to the area to get her degree and in the meantime, gained a fiancé and future set of in-laws. So, even though it was a destination wedding for some, there were plenty of local friends and family who were more than happy to host their new Colorado friends on this beautiful summer day at Calvert Marine Museum.
This place is a true gem and was the perfect Solomon’s Island backdrop for Lacey and Ryan’s wedding day. We started off with them in their awesome bridal suite and a short walk away, at the Quality Inn both of which have gorgeous views of the Drum Point lighthouse and the Solomons Island waterfront. Their day had a full range of weather excitement including heat, thunderstorms, a gorgeous sunset and even a rainbow that popped out right before the ceremony began. I considered us lucky, as all of these seemed to happen at just the right time and none of our plans were affected. Their wedding was leading into Fourth of July, so the American flag and red, white and blue touches were found throughout the whole day. I could continue to go on about how much we loved this wedding but I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking! Enjoy
